He is survived by his wife, three children, eleven grandchildren, two great grandchildren, one sister, and a special niece.
Joe was preceded in passing by his parents; two brothers, Nathan Robertson and Jerry Robertson; and one sister, Diana (Robertson) VanHorn.
Joe's passion in life was Fastpitch softball. He loved coaching everyone and never charged a dime. He coached at Spring Arbor University, JCC, and Addison High School as well as many other lessons on the side. Joe was extremely competitive and loved playing all sports including golf and basketball. He was a Corrections Officer from 1974-2011 and also served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
