He temporarily leaves behind his wife of 68 years, Deanie; son Randy and wife, Kim; son Rusty and wife, Jeannie; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous friends and family.
While still in high school, at the age of 17, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy in November of 1945. He received his high school diploma while serving his country. After his military service, he was employed by Southwestern Bell/AT&T where he spent the next 40 years. He retired in 1992.
He met the love of his life, Deanie, in 1949. They were married on January 19, 1951. They were together 70 years.
For most of his life “Charlie” had a passion for music and was known as an excellent guitarist. He played with numerous Blue Grass and Western groups.
He will be missed by many!
