Joseph served his country with great pride during World War II as part of the US Navy. He was awarded many prestigious medals while serving his country. He fought on multiple fronts and continued his work when he returned with the VFW Post 10112 in Cos Cob. He loved photography and travel, but his greatest joy was his work with his veterans.
He is survived by his daughters Sherry Haffner of Twin Falls, Idaho; Kathryn Kersten and her husband, Stanley of Beacon Falls, CT; his sons Jeffrey Gregory and his wife Jeanne of Eustis, FL; and Bruce Gregory and his partner Pam Gilberte of Middlebury, CT. He was Pop Pop to his many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren who he loved very much. He was predeceased by his sons Peter and Joseph Gregory, his companion of many years Yvette Prior-Crofoot, his sister Helen Sestito and his brother John Gregory Jr.

Joseph’s family will receive the sympathy and condolences of family and friends on Saturday, February 15th from 9am to 10:30am with a prayer service at 10:30am at Bosak Funeral Home, 453 Shippan Avenue, Stamford, CT. His interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, 399 North Street, Greenwich, CT.
