Of Festus, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, February 11, 2020 at the American Cancer Treatment Center in Zion, Illinois. He was born February 2, 1956 in St. Louis, Missouri, the son of Lowell Alice (nee Mann) Burns of Lonedell, Missouri, and the late Leonard Joseph Burns, Sr.
In addition to his mother he is survived by his significant other Heidi Strippgen; daughters Rebecca Lynn Burns of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, and Elizabeth Ann (Chris) Wells of Wentzville, Missouri; step-daughter Jamie (Kevin Womack) Buschmann of DeSoto, Missouri; sisters Mary Jo (Donald) Hecht of Cottleville, Missouri, and Anita (Donnie Bailey) Pich of St. Clair, Missouri; brother Donald (Laura) Burns of Cedar Hill, Missouri; grandchildren Robert Womack, and Lorelei Womack; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He was the owner/operator of Employee Staffing Group, based in Crystal City, Missouri; a member of the American Quarter Horse Association; a life member of the NRA; and was a Taekwondo Master Instructor at the Jefferson County YMCA. Len was very patriotic and a generous supporter of Veterans Organizations.
