Annie Norma Noble was born Aug. 12, 1917, in Baton Rouge and died at 6:40 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 26, 2006, in Baton Rouge.

She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Henry Rounsaville; a sister, Mollie Smith; sister and brother-in-law, Margaret and Carroll Fletcher; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lily May and Richard Elvis Wardlaw; her husband, Walter H. Noble; a sister, Edwina Toye; and a brother, James L. Wardlaw.

She was an artist and woodcarver who taught many people in the area how to paint and carve. She was a member of Bell South Retired Pioneers where she carved the covers for the yearly scrapbooks, helped with many fundraisers and helped make Hug a Bears.

She was a member of the Pelican Woodcarvers Guild, past president of Altrusa International, and a member of the Presbyterian church. She retired from South Central Bell with 37 years of service. She was the first woman in the state to be promoted to a state level management position.

Visitation will be at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., until religious service in the chapel, conducted by the Rev. Hawley Wolfe from Broadmoor Presbyterian Church. Interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park.
