On Monday, 10 February 2020, our mother, Lula Belle (Thompson) Scott, passed from this life at the North Logan Maple Springs Assisted Living Center into the loving arms of her Heavenly Father.

Lula was born in Logan, Utah on a snowy Friday, 7 February 1936, to the most amazing parents, Don Owen and Leora Myrle (Sparks) Thompson. They were so happy to have a baby girl! Lula was raised in Clarkston, Utah in a loving, caring, respectful family who was rooted deep in rich family traditions and their love for each other. She was taught hard work, service to others and the value of honesty and respect for everyone. With a strong love of her heritage, her children would like to thank her siblings for the love and care shown mom throughout her life.

Lula married Donald Eugene Scott in the Logan Temple on Friday, 17 September 1954.

She lived in Fielding, Tremonton, and North Logan and raised seven children and many others along the way, which she did with love and a smile on her face. Lula never complained and was the hardest worker, often doing multiple things at once. Because of the values she was raised with, service to others was one of the things that brought her much joy and peace. Many widows in Fielding were recipients of Lula's loving service and Lula tried to teach us those same values her parents instilled in her. Truly, Lula was the most amazing mother!

Lula loved flowers--especially roses--and Springtime.

She had love and patience for little children and their little spirits each brought to earth.

A member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Lula had an amazing testimony and love for her Savior. Being true to who she was and knowing what she stood for was very important to Lula.

Lula had worked at Thiokol/ATK for many years and loved everyone she knew there. Her job gave Lula a sense of purpose as she made lasting memories she often shared.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Carl (Laura) Scott, Carol (Tim) Oyler, Dennis Scott, Diane Slocum, Jay Dee Scott, Kristie (Val) Bowcutt, and Ronnie (Arlis) Scott; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Also surviving are mom's loving siblings, Dale Thompson, Eileen (Steve) Silver, Garth (Lynette) Thompson, Hal Thompson, Lyman (Dorothy) Thompson, Norvell (Ester) Thompson, and Richard (Gayle) Thompson.

Lula was predeceased by her husband, Don Scott; parents; brother, Clyde Thompson; and sister-in-law, Donna May Barnes Thompson.
