Stephen Scott Christensen, known to most as “Scott”, age 49, died Mon., Feb. 11, 2020, after a short but intense battle with cancer.

Born Apr. 28, 1970, he was the son of the Stephen L. and Dede Ann (Berry) Christensen, and the beloved husband of Mary (Woods) Christensen, to whom he was married 30 years at the time of his passing.

Scott led a very successful career in construction which culminated in the creation of his fine wood working company, Burlee Original. Along the way, he touched the hearts of those in the Triathlon Club of San Diego and the Las Vegas Triathlon club where he served on the board and created his own race production company. He enjoyed spending time in the outdoors where he became an Eagle Scout and found happiness riding his bikes and kayaking. Scott’s greatest joy came from spending time with his family.

In addition to his wife and parents, Scott is survived by: son Cody Christensen (wife Stephanie); daughter Jessica Christensen; son Waylon Christensen (wife Ellen); brother Michael Christensen; sisters Leesa Ostrander (husband Alex), Kimberly Anderson (husband Jason), and Dedekay Flores (husband David); parents-in-law Susan and William “Tip” Roberts; sisters-in-law Michelle Vandever (husband Greg), and Wendy Woods (husband Quinn Pagh); dogs Moose and Bear; as well as lots and lots of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Scott is preceded in death by: brother David Christensen; and grandparents Layron and Fayon Christensen, and Vesta Berry.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM on Sun., Feb. 16, 2020 at Upper Tinicum Cemetery, 188 Upper Tinicum Church Rd., Upper Black Eddy.
