MOUNT VERNON — Catherine J. “Cathy” Orr, 51, was quietly called home after a long, well-fought struggle with cancer on April 28, 2013.

She was born Sept. 11, 1961, in Columbus, Ohio.

She is survived by her husband, Fred Brong; her father, Charles “Dave” (Sandy) Orr; siblings, Mike (Carrie) Orr, Joe (Katrinka) Orr, Teresa Franks, Karen (Larry) Roberts, Matthew Orr; nieces, Macy (Kevin) Reall, Nicole (Dustin) Finkenbinder, Erin Roberts, Tara Jepsen; nephews, Noah and Alan Orr.

Cathy was preceded in death by her mother, Eileen Orr; sister, Christine Sagstetter.

She owned Memory Lane Antiques in Mount Vernon, and loved to help her customers find the right things for their homes and collections. So many passions, so much talent, too soon gone. The most loving and kind person, she will be missed by all.

Friends may call today, 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., at Newcomer Northeast Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus. A Funeral Mass will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 2384 W. Mound St., Columbus.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Central Region Office, 5555 Frantz Road, Dublin, OH 43017.
