Obituary for Irma Jean Fuller
Irma Jean Fuller, age 84 of Grundy, Virginia passed away on Saturday, June 29, 2019, at English Meadows in Abingdon, Virginia following a brief illness.

Born September 23, 1934, in Buchanan County, she was the daughter of the late Morris F. Fletcher and Naomi Street Fletcher.

Jean was the owner of Grundy Office Service and was a bookkeeper for over 60 years. She was member of the Grundy Baptist Church for more than 60 years, where she served as Sunday School Teacher, Assistant Treasurer, and on various committees. Through the years she enjoyed playing Canasta, golf, cooking, traveling, and her grandchildren.

Jean became a resident of the English Meadows community in 2016. She was an active member, participating in all the various activities which included, leading devotions. She made many dear friends among the residents and staff.

In addition to her parents, and step mother Garnie K. Fletcher, she was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Robert (Bob) Fuller; four brothers, Alden, Dewey, Norman, and Bernard Fletcher; two sisters, Edith Elswick and Geneva Fletcher. Jean was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Funeral services for Irma Jean Fuller will be held on Wednesday, July 3, 2019, 11:00 A.M. at the Grundy Baptist Church with Curtis Crouse and David Peters officiating. Burial will follow at Mountain Valley Memorial Park, Big Rock, Virginia.The family will receive friends Tuesday evening 6:00 P.M. at the church.

Serving as Pallbearers will be David Fletcher, Dan Cronin, Steven Fuller, Matthew Cronin, Cole Fuller, Jordan Hutchins, Andrew Sledd, and Tyler Arnold.
Serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be men of the Grundy Baptist Church.

Jean’s family would like to say a special thank you to Judy Fuller, Charlie and Rosemary Wood, Roger and Mina Smith for being special friends and helpers to us. We would also like to say a special thank you to the staff of English Meadows who have been so supportive of us and Mom. Their love, kindness,
and care has been so very appreciated and we are grateful. Finally a special thank you to all those who kept Mom in their thoughts and prayers.
