Funeral services for Emma Louise Webster, 87, of Guthrie, OK will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, October 26, 2018 at Church of the Living God, 702 S. Hazel St., Guthrie. Interment will follow at Summit View Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home.

Emma Louise Webster was born February 15, 1931 to Milburn and Evelene (Rogers) McLaurin in Guthrie. She was the fourth of twelve children. She joined the Church of the Living God under Bishop F.J. Fizer.

She attended Page Elementary and Faver High School. She graduated from cosmetology school in 1958.

She met and married Jimmie L. Webster in 1948. They loved to travel and fish. They were married for forty years.

Emma worked for the Oklahoma Furniture Manufacturing Company, the Guthrie Job Corp and the Golden Age Nursing Home. She worked as a beautician until 2018 when her health began to fail.

Emma was an avid bowler. She was a member of the February Birthday Club. She loved to have a garden and to give vegetables away. She also loved flowers.

For the Church of the Living God, she served as an usher and announcing clerk.

Her parents, husband, three sisters, three brothers, a step-son, and a step-grandson precede her in death.

Emma is survived by four brothers: Oscar McLaurin of Guthrie, Al Curtis McLaurin of Midwest City, OK, Robert McLaurin of Modesto, CA, and Esco McLaurin of San Fransisco, CA and one sister, Dol Esther Harper of Phoenix, AZ; two sisters-in-law, Mary McLaurin and Geneva McLaurin; two step-grandchildren, four step-great-grandchildren, and five step-great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a special cousin who is like her sister, Betty R. Cocohran-Fry as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins as well as friends.

The McLaurin family wish to thank everyone for their prayers and time spent with Emma and delivering food during her illness. They would also like to thank the health staff of Mercy Hospital and Companion Home Health.
