Obituary for Mrs. Deborha Denise Tate
Deborha D. Tate was born on July 16,1965 to the union of Evelyn D.

Strickling and George M. Powe in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. She received
her formal education at Eastridge High School and graduated in 1983
in Kankakee, Illinois. Deborha also attended Cosmetology School in
1985 in Kankakee, Illinois, and she loved what she did.

Deborha accepted Christ as her Savior in 1979 at the age of fourteen
at Shiloh Baptist Church. In 1988, she united with Mercy Memorial
Church where she served as an usher, day-care teacher, and a member.

Deborha D. Tate was united in holy matrimony with Nate Tate on
February 18, 2006 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Their union was blessed
with one step-son, Nate Jr.

She was employed by Dooney's Plastic Company as a Packer and at
McDonalds as a Manager until she retired due to health reasons.

In her leisure, Deborha enjoyed her family, loved having fun with
friends, loved her church music and loved customizing her car. She also
played basketball in her younger days in Illinois, but family was most
important in her life. She was a member at Mercy Memorial in 1998,
volunteered with ushering and helping out with the children.

Deborha D. Tate departed this life on July 1, 2016. She was preceded
in death by her mother, Evelyn D. Strickling; father, George M. Powe;
grandparents, uncle, cousins and late husband, Stanley Burdine.

She leaves to cherish her memory: her only son, Sam Jackson III;
(daughter-in-law), Pelar; grandchildren, Michael, Razja, Keyara, [hirrnar
and Lamir, two sisters, Evelyn Strickling and Paula Bullocks; nieces,
Lasummer, Mikeelas and Angel; one step-son, Nathaniel Tate Jr.; special
friends, Debra Collins and Freddy Gray; and a host of many family and friends.
