Ronald “Glen” Drake was born May 3, 1962 in Barnesville, Georgia to Claude and Edna Drake. He was the youngest of his siblings. He was educated in the Thomaston Public Schools. He was baptized at St. Mary AME Church at a very early age. GLEN had one son, Ronald Glen Drake, Jr. On April 3, 2003, he married Cynthia Smith. They were married for 17 years and although there were no children born to this union, he helped in raising his 3 stepchildren. He later worked for Peerless Mill over 13 years and Standard Textiles for over 17 years until his health began to fail. GLEN was a dedicated worker, and very seldom did he miss work. GLEN enjoyed eating out with his wife and fishing. He loved traveling to Florida relaxing in the beach house. He never stopped watching cartoons and was a Sci-Fi movie enthusiast. GLEN loved listening to the Atlanta Braves on the radio and was thrilled to be able to attend a Braves game at The SunTrust Park Stadium and a football game at the Mercedes Benz Stadium with his brother, son and nephew. He also enjoyed watching ALL types of cooking shows and cooking. GLEN leaves loved ones to cherish his memories: wife, Cynthia Drake, son, Ronald Glen Drake, Jr., mother, Edna Drake, father, Claude Drake (Rosa), brother, Regionald Drake (Debbie), sister, Rita Drake-Woods (James), nephew, Eugene Fuller Jr., uncle, Charles Drake, aunts, Earnestine Lowe, and Gwendolyn Mayes (Marion) stepchildren, Shakeirra Middlebrooks, Tenika Woolridge, Kevin Marshall (Tina) sisters-in-law, Vanessa Smith, and Tammy Smith (Mike) brothers-in-law, Bruce Smith (Ann) and Bryan Hooks (Shayla). A host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Funeral Service were held Saturday, February 8, 2020 11:00 A.M. St. Mary AME Church Interment Southview Cemetery
