Veryl Cook Monhollen, 84 of Pigeon Forge, passed away Tuesday, February 11, 2020.
She was a member of Glades Lebanon Baptist Church. She was a bookkeeper for many years at Arrow Craft Shop in Gatlinburg, TN. She loved water color, quilting, playing the piano, and helping others and even more so she loved her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Monhollen; parents, Preston and Mintha Cook; siblings, Dot, Doyle, and Margie Cook, Edna Howard, Dewey Cook, Nella Hill, Faye Cook, Bernice Roberts, June Parrott; and son, Jerome Monhollen.
She is survived by her son, Jeff Blalock and wife Judy; grandson, Andy Blalock and wife Christy; great-grandchildren, Henry and Callie Blalock; sisters, Kathryn C. Blalock, and Shelby Valentine; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Nadine Whitted and Gail Wright; and a special thank you to all the staff at Dominion Assisted Living, Sevierville Rehab Center, Dr. Wahid Hannah at UT Medical Center, and Caris Hospice.
The family will receive friends 5-7pm Thursday, February 13, 2020 in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville. Family and friends will meet 10am Friday in Atchley’s Smoky Mountain Memory Gardens for graveside service and interment, Pastor Lonnie McCarter officiating.
