Margaret (Acres) Ellis, 94, entered in to eternal peace and rest from the Summit Health and Living Center in Summitville on Monday, February 10, 2020.

She was born on January 23, 1926 in Elwood to Harley and Margaret (Sullivan) Acres and has resided in the Alexandria area most of her lifetime. She was a graduate of Elwood High School-Class of 1944. Margaret dedicated her life to the care and raising of her family. She enjoyed planning parties and dinners and was well known for her cake decorating skills. Margaret loved people. She enjoyed her friends so much in the Monday Morning Bible Study that met monthly in each other’s homes. Tuesdays were special days that were spent with her sister Anna, shopping, lunching and visiting. Then promptly at 4 pm they would connect with Jim and Harry to check out a different restaurant and perhaps a movie. The coffee pot was always on at the Ellis home and family, friends and neighbors came and went, which Margaret dearly loved. She went out of her way to help her daughter Kathy and her “favorite” son-in-law, Kenny Morehead whom she adored. Margaret’s happiest and proudest moments were in the time she spent with her grandsons Jimmy and Heather, Dean and her great grandsons Blake and Brennan. She had attended the former Alexandria Church of God and the former Calvary Community Church. Margaret truly represented the biblical definition of a godly wife, mother, friend and neighbor.

Survivors:
Daughter-Kathy (Kenny) Morehead-Alexandria
