Virginia graduated from Evanston Township High School in 1945, and in 1952, being employed by Aramco, embarked on a journey which would take her to Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. In Dhahran, Virginia met Walter Richard ("Dick") Denny, who was employed by GSI, and on June 20, 1954 in Beruit, Lebanon, Virginia and Dick were married.
