Jim O. Jenkins Jr., 85, of Amarillo died Friday, May 21, 2004.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in First Baptist Church with Dr. Howard K. Batson officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Cox Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive.

Mr. Jenkins was born in and was a lifetime resident of Amarillo. He operated Jim's Mail Service in Amarillo for many years. He was a graduate of San Marcos Baptist Academy. He was a longtime member and Sunday school teacher at First Baptist Church where he was a member of the Henry Brown Memorial Sunday School class. He was the grandson of the Rev. Robert F. Jenkins who was the pastor of First Baptist Church from 1907 to 1915.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Velma Jenkins in 1984; and his daughter, Marsha.

Survivors include special friends, Royce and Roberta Grant of Tulsa, Okla.; and three cousins, Matt Tucker of Dallas, Valerie Tucker Goodman of Pagosa Springs, Colo., and Patricia Masterman of Amarillo.
