The inscription is located on the opposite side of the same stone as her first husband, John Wakefield b.1n 1615, d. 18 JUN 1667. Contrary to that reported in Wakefield Memorial (Homer Wakefield, 1897, p. 21) the inscription on Ann's side reads "HERE LYETH Ye BODY OF ANN CHILD Ye WIFE OF JOHN CHILD AGED ABOUT 80 YEARS DIED APRIL Ye 3d 1703." There is an additional stone located at the foot of the John Wakefield side bearing the names of both Ann Child and John Wakefield, but there is a 3rd, apparently unrelated stone between the head and foot stone of Ann and John. The burial location of Ann's second husband, John Child, has not been reported.
