Clyde V. Goins, age 70, of Miamisburg, passed away February 8, 2020.

He was born December 20, 1949 in Manchester, Kentucky to Tomie and Nannie Goins. He worked at Karolton Envelope for 10 years, and went on to work at Pavement Tech for more than 15 years.

In addition to his parents, Clyde was preceded in death by 2 infant brothers, Arcus and Clayton, 1 brother, Jr., 2 sisters, Betty Surface and Loretta Collins.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Bonnie; son, Scott (Joyce) Goins; daughter, Lori (David) Helms; 3 grandchildren, Josh (Angela), Kaitlyn, Chloe; 2 great-grandchildren, Gracelyn and Remington. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters, Marie Lewis, Lorene (Forrest) Johnson, Pearl (Pam) Goins, Lois (Nelson) Wilder, Charlene Lyons, Nora (Tom) Evans, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Clyde enjoyed his grandchildren to the fullest, he never met a stranger. He enjoyed growing tomatoes and cucumbers and was known for his pickles “Uncle Clyde’s Pickles”. He also enjoyed classic cars, hot rods, and was also known for building birdhouses. Clyde had a beautiful voice and he especially loved to sing Elvis songs at family gatherings. Clyde always had a joke to share. He was a very wise and talented man, and was very generous thinking of others before himself. Clyde had a heart of gold and a passion for life and music. To know him is to love him.

Visitation will be held from 12:30 pm until time of service at 1:30 pm on Thursday, February 13, 2020 at Newcomer Kettering Chapel, 3940 Kettering Blvd. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Cemetery.
