Mrs. Quehl was a member of St. Stephen's Lutheran Church, Kitchener and a member of the Waterloo Crystal Rebekah Lodge. Mrs. Quehl was a former active member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Waterloo. Dear grandmother of Lynn and David Helwig, both of Kitchener; mother-in-law of Robert Helwig of Kitchener; sister of Mrs. Gladys Appel of Kitchener and Mrs. Edith Hauck of Waterloo. She was predeceased by her husband, Frederick; her daughter, Gladys (Helwig); her parents, Louise and William Loebsack; two brothers, Ervin and Edgar [Edward] Loebsack and one sister, Emma Meisner.
