Mr. Clifford Locklin and Miss Willie Long were quietly married at the Baptist parsonage on Friday evening June 21, Rev. Talley officiating. The groom holds a position with the German Mercantile Co., while the bride was a operator at the telephone exchange. Their many friends were very much surprised but all join in extending congratulations and well wishes.

Mrs. Cliff Locklin, of
Thorndale, is Dead
Mrs. Cliff Locklin, 45, of Thorndale, died in a Taylor hosptial at 7 o'clock Tuesday of a brain hemmorhage, the result of a fall from an automobile Monday afternoon. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 5 o'clock from the Thorndale Baptist church, with burial in Locklin cemetery.
Survivors are her husband, Cliff G. Locklin, three sons, Elmo, Jack and Allen Locklin of Thorndale; and her mother, Mrs. Ollie Selbey of Ballinger.
