MOTHER OF FAMOUS AVIATOR IS CALLED TO FINAL REWARD
Death last week came to Mrs J.M. Corneluis of Antlers, mother of the late William L. Cornelius, Lieutenant in the Army Air Service and known as one of the "Three Musketeers of the Air" Lieut. Cornelius met death last September in a tragic air accident. He was noted as an Army flyer and stunt aviator, declared by Col. W.S. Key of the state, to have been the army's greatest stunt flyer. He was a graduate of the University of Oklahoma, and was the second of the famous trio of flyers to meet death in service.
Mrs Cornelius was 60 years of age and had apparently been in excellent health. She had gone to Sapulpa to visit her daughter, Mrs. Ewing Helm and was taken suddenly ill, dying in a short time. The body was returned to Antlers for burial. She is survived by her husband, a son J.M. Cornelius Jr. and two daughters, Mrs Helm of Sapulpa and Mrs H.T. Nixon of Miami, Fla
