John Dominis Anderson, father of Hawaii political figures D.G. "Andy" Anderson and Whitney Anderson, 84, died Jan. 24, 1995. John Anderson was proprietor of Whitney's, a restaurant and bar in Kaneohe founded by son Whitney. He lived in Waimanalo. Andy Anderson is a former state senator, two-time candidate for governor and former state Republican Chairman. Whitney is a former state representative who ran twice for Honolulu mayor. In addition to his two sons, John Anderson is survived by a brother, William; sister Zillah Young; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Burial: Hawaiian Memorial Park Cemetery.
