Oneonta-Beverly Jean Evans age 72, formerly of Richfield Springs passed away peacefully on Thursday evening February 6, 2020 in Bassett Medical Center, Cooperstown. She was born on July 20, 1947 in Herkimer, daughter of the late Robert and Sylvia Doyle Barringer. A lifelong resident of Richfield Springs, she graduated at the top of her class from Richfield Springs High School with the class of 1965. She furthered her education at Herkimer County Community College where she received an Associate’s Degree in Applied Sciences. In her leisure time she found relaxation in reading, writing, watching Jeopardy, football and was a tremendous cook. Beverly loved her family, laughing with her customers , friends, going to games, and most of all spending time with her grandchildren. She taught Sunday school and attended church and many church events. She loved our family reunions, going to field days, dancing and playing bingo. She will be sadly missed by her family and many friends.

Surviving her are four sons, Steven Conklin and his wife Rebecca of Laurens, Edward Conklin of Richfield Springs, Robert Conklin of Schuyler, Christopher Conklin of Ilion, four daughters, Lisa Bond and her husband Daniel of MA, Annemarie Storm and her husband Scott of Little Falls, Tricia Evans and her partner Paul of Ilion, Kelly Evans and her wife Gabrielle of Ithaca, two brothers, Steven Barringer and his wife Bonnie of Richfield Springs, Rick Barringer of Kirkwood, six sisters, Carolyn Buck and her husband Richard of FL, Barbara Mooney and her husband Richard of NC, Marylou Robosson and her husband Brian of TN, Debra Toner and her husband Rodney of Richfield Springs, Shirley Campbell of Fairfield, Dawn Sloboda and her husband Ronald of FL, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents an infant brother Robin Barringer preceded her in death.

A graveside service will be held at a later date and time convenient to the family
