Mark is survived by his children; Vicki (Brad) Jones, Crystal (Mike) Cashwell, and Mark (Brittany) Marshall; his grandchildren; Samantha, Colby, Hunter, Paige, Owen and Sawyer; his sister Joanie Marshall; and nieces and nephews. Mark is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Kathi, his parents LeRoy and Loretta Marshall and sisters Betsy Marshall and Kathy Meechan.
Mark grew up on Long Island where his love for cycling began. He not only was an accomplished cyclist, but he shared his knowledge and love of the sport as a cycling coach for many years. Mark and Kathi spent 8 years in North Carolina before moving to Clermont in 1994 where he opened The Mobile Bike Shop and eventually became a staple in Minneola as the owner of South Lake Bicycles. Throughout his life, Mark never met a stranger who ever left as a stranger. Master of funny stories (usually on his behalf), devoted husband, beloved father and loyal friend, Mark loved unconditionally and was loved even more. He will be missed by all who knew him.
In lieu of flowers Mark's family is requesting donations be made in his honor to Tough Biker, an organization in the Central Florida area committed to helping at-risk youth through the sport of mountain biking. Please visit www.toughbiker.com for more information and to donate.
