Ruth J. Kline Kennedy, 91, formerly of RD1 Landisburg, died Sunday in Thornwald Nursing Home, Carlisle.
Born April 25, 1903, in Loysville, she was a daughter of the late Oliver and Sarah Jane Reeder Kline. She was the widow of Arthur L. Kennedy.
She was a retired canvas lapper at the former C.H. Masland and Sons, now Masland Industries, Carlisle. She was a member of St. Peter's United Church of Christ, RD1 Landisburg. She also was a member of Landisburg Ambulance Club.
Surviving are her son, Arthur Lee of RD1 Landisburg; one daughter, Martha L. Toner of Mt. Holly Springs; two brothers, James Kline of New Cumberland and Elmer Kline of RD1 Landisburg; three sisters, Olive Bolze and Mary Keller, both of Landisburg, and Gladys Farner of Carlisle; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in St. Peter's United Church of Christ, RD1 Landisburg, with the Rev. E. Levain Fouse officiating. Burial will be in St Peter's U.C.C. Cemetery.
Friends may call from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the church.
Nickel Funeral Home, Loysville, is in charge of arrangements.
