He was a 1978 graduate of Homer High School. He worked for Catrec in Homer for the past 3 years as a drywall installer. Mike was also self- employed as a drywall contractor for many years in the Homer and Jonesville area.
Mike was a member of the NRA and the Gold Prospecting Club. He loved to hunt and fish at any opportunity he could get. He would usually be found outdoors searching for arrowheads or looking for morel mushrooms. Mike enjoyed reading his Bible, going on road trips, listening to classic rock and roll and being on Facebook. He will be missed for his love of family, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his children; Saleana Shaw of Coldwater, Keith (Jessica) Combs of Jackson, Danielle (Bud) Elmendorf of Jonesville and Michael Ball II of Coldwater, his 11 grandchildren; Aubree, Zachary, Austin, Ashanti, Lexi, Emma, Daimien, Steven, Elizabeth, Wesley and Anthony, his siblings; David Ball of Coldwater, Chris (Sara) Ball of Homer, Tracy (Melanie) Ball of Homer and Brian Lorenz of Jonesville. He is also survived by his former wife, Candy C. (Combs) West of Homer and many nieces and nephews.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Debra Perkins and his nephew Anthony Ball.
Funeral services to be held at Kempf Funeral Home. Burial will take place at Reed Cemetery in Canada, Kentucky.
