April Dawn Odom, 54 of Ada, Oklahoma passed away Wednesday, February 5, 2020, in Pecos, Texas.

April was born April 1, 1965 in Jal, New Mexico to Hugh Odom and Patricia Wall. She grew up and attended Jal High School and later graduated from the University of Tempe with a degree in Arts Education and then received her B.A. in Business Management from Park University. In 1990 April joined the United States Navy where she proudly served her country for over 20 years. April loved those around her and was always a magnet for dogs and babies that were always drawn to her.

April is survived by wife and love, Jean Odom, of the home, Mother, Patricia Wall, of the home, Father, Hugh Odom & Linda Bennett of Calvin, OK, sisters, Sue Whitson and Mike of Yukon, OK, Clowe Odom of Ada, OK, brothers, William Odom and Misty of Ada, OK, Hugh Odom Jr. and Rhonda of Sulphur, OK and JJ Odom and Amanda Dobbs of Byars, OK, sons, Dieter Deitz Jr. of Colorado, and Micheal Deitz and wife Jade of New York, grandchildren, Ariana, Chase, Charlotte, Caleb, & Lauren Deitz, nieces & nephews, Tanna & John Thomas, Tamarisk & Eric Nicolosi, Teresa & Ismael Soto, Dustin Odom, Justin & Katie Odom, Austin & Mariah Odom, Christopher Odom, Levi Odom, Joshua Odom, Kirsten Odom, Christian & Damon Cantor, and Josie Dobbs, great nieces & nephews, Nathan, Georgia, & Jacob Thomas; Alice, Alexander "Lex", & Anthony "AJ" Soto, Charles "Chaz" & Lillie Odom, Nora & Ezra Odom and Ava & Cooper Odom and a host of other relatives and friends too numerous to mention by name.

A family visitation will be held Tuesday, February 11, 2020 from 5:00-7:00 PM at the Estes-Phillips Funeral Home Chapel in Ada, Oklahoma. Funeral services for April will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at the Estes-Phillips Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Maxwell Cemetery in Ada. After the services are conducted family and friends are invited to the Ada Elks Lodge for food and remembrance.
