She was born on December 21, 1948, in Santaquin, Utah, the daughter of Gerald Ross Lessig and Elizabeth B. Whitmore Lessig.

She was preceded in death by one son, Kevin Jackson; her parents; and one brother, Doug Lessig.
Diane was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She raised her family to love Jesus Christ and strive to keep His commandments. She was a living example of spending her life in the service of God, spreading joy, comfort and love to those she served. Throughout her life, she accepted many church callings and especially loved serving as a temple worker.
She attended college at Weber State University, graduated from St. Louis Dental Assistant School and retired as a dental assistant. But, her greatest accomplishment in life was being a stay at home wife and mother. Grandma loved her family dearly and her grandchildren were the apple of her life. Diane quilted and crocheted to perfection. She was a fantastic cook and her lasagna could not be beat.
Diane is survived by her husband of 51 years, John Jackson of Hot Springs Village; one son, John Jackson, Jr. and his wife, Tracy of Atlanta, Georgia; two daughters, Julie Jackson of Hot Springs Village and Crystal Anderson and her husband, Marc of Houston, Texas; three grandchildren, Tyler Jackson, Alyssa Anderson and Katie Anderson; one brother, Gary Lessig and his wife, Elaine of Layton, Utah; one sister, Linda Lessig of Salt Lake City, Utah; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.
Services will be held at 10:30 AM, Saturday, February 8, 2020, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Interment will be in Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Sandy, Utah at 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 15, 2020.
