Bessie Aline (Cato) Johnson, 86, a lover of God, life, family, laughter, and music passed from this life on Friday, January 31, 2020, peacefully at her home with her daughter Deanna by her side. She went home to join our heavenly father and her family members who had gone before her. Bessie was born on Aug 27, 1933 in Snake Creek , OK to Eulas and Ethel (Risley) Cato. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Lola May Cato and Viola Franks; and one brother, William Cato. Bessie loved her family, lived a rough life of hard work, but always kept a positive view of life.

She is survived by her four children, Deanna Barrett, Bruce Johnson, Sheila Hall, and Kent Johnson; 8 grandchildren, Janie Smith, Dalene Hunt, Steven Hall, Marcus Hall, Alicia Hall, Aline Hall, Brian Johnson, and Brandon Johnson; 14 great grandchildren; three sisters, Sally McNab, Peggy Turney, and Alice Miller; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be on Saturday, Feb 8, 2020 at 1:00 pm in the Landmark Missionary Baptist Church, Vian with Pastor Curtis Davis and Eric Collins officiating. Interment will follow in the Box Cemetery, Vian. Casket bearers will be Bret Buttery, Aaron Johnson, Clinton Cato, Matthew Johnson, James Johnson, and Nathan Logue
