Obituary for Deborah Branham Cooper
Deborah Branham Cooper (Debbie), 63, passed away unexpectedly on February 2, 2020.

Debbie was born in Columbia, SC to the late Harley and Dorothy Lane Branham on October 25, 1956. She graduated from Lower Richland High School and the University of South Carolina. She had a long career at the Office of Revenue and Fiscal Affairs.

In addition to being a dedicated and loving mother, Debbie’s greatest joy was the time she spent with her granddaughters. They will remember her as their loving, patient and kind Bacca, who adored them. Her other hobbies included reading and supporting the Gamecocks.

Throughout her life she held an unwavering faith in God and her purpose in life. Debbie was an active and dedicated member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Columbia Ward. She worked diligently with the Cub Scouts, Young Women, Relief Society and at the Columbia SC temple. Her quiet devotion and service will be missed tremendously.

Debbie is survived by her son Scott Antony Cooper (Tara); beautiful granddaughters Kennedy Belle and Reagan Lee Cooper; sister Elaine Branham Sumer (John); brother Harley Douglas Branham, and numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Visitation is scheduled for Friday, February 7, 2020 from 10:00am until 11:00am, funeral services will begin at 11:00 am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 4400 Fort Jackson Blvd. Columbia SC Burial will follow at the Centerville Cemetery in Ridgeway, SC. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family.
