Martha Roberta “Marti” “Singing Dove” Bleeker, age 81, of Grants Pass, died February 1, 2020 at Asante Three Rivers Medical Center.

Marti was born March 20, 1938 in Indianapolis, Indiana. She served in the United States Navy as a Ship to Shore Radioman, Third class at Moffett Field, California. It was at the Air Field Base where she met Arthur Jesse Bleeker and two weeks later were married on April 2, 1960. She was a 49-year resident of Josephine County.

Survivors include two daughters Mollie Bleeker and Janie Peterson; son-in-law Daniel Peterson; grandsons Alan Peterson and Spencer Peterson all of Grants Pass; and brother Harold Cavender of Indiana.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother Earl.

A celebration of life will be at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 22, 2020 at Vineyard Christian Fellowship with Pastor Doug Thomas officiating. Fellowship and light refreshments will immediately follow.

Private interment will be at Granite Hill Cemetery.
