Jo Ann (Forman) Harris was born July 30, 1924 in Plano, Texas, to Cliff and Rholly Belle Nichols Forman, and passed away February 3, 2020. The Forman family were early pioneers of Plano Texas, and in fact her great-great grandfather gave Plano its name. There is an elementary school called Forman Elementary in honor of the family. Jo Ann was born on the family farm which she loved to tell stories about.

She was a beloved member of the Plano High School class of 1942 and attended many reunions and stayed close to her classmates. She is a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt. She was a wonderful cook, and an avid gardener and had an amazing green thumb. She was also a talented and excellent seamstress and stayed up late many nights working on her projects.

Her two children, Clifton Hugh Harris and Anna Harris Eaton, were blessed to have her as a mother. She is also a beloved grandmother and aunt and had a special bond with her nieces. Jo Ann grew up in the First Christian Church, Disciples of Christ in Plano. When she later moved to Irving, Texas, she was also active in the First Christian Church there. She was a resident of Irving for more than 50 years. She lived the last years of her life in Sugar Land with her daughter Anna and her family.

Jo Ann’s greatest love was her family. She so enjoyed her children and grandchildren. She was greatly loved and will be missed.
