Alma was a daughter of William and Susanna (née Scharlach) Peltz.


The 1901 Census of Canada shows that Alma (age 13) lived in Waterloo, Ontario, with her parents and siblings, Edward (age 17), Arther [sic] (age 15), Albert (age 9), Nelda (age 6), Irvin (age 4), and Harold (8 months). The 1911 census reveals that the family lived on Bowman Street in Waterloo.


Alma married Harvey Trump on December 26, 1914, in Waterloo, Ontario.
