Richard Wayne McKinney was the 3rd child of Robert Edgar McKinney Sr. and Norris Jean Wilson and was named after two uncles.
Richard was born in Dallas where he grew up til the family moved to San Marcos, Texas where he joined the US Marines in 1975. Richard returned to his family in San Marcos after being honorably discharged and stayed with them when they moved to Lone Oak, Texas where he assisted his father and older brother in building the new family home.
Richard was a kind, gentle and loving person to man and beast. He never married nor fathered any children. He was preceded by his parents and oldest brother. He was survived by a brother and 3 sisters.
