Burch, Jr. and the late Susan Klein Burch. John worked as a Captain for ExpressJets, United Airlines regional carrier for over fifteen years. John loved flying, was an avid outdoorsman and was interested in art and photography. He was kind hearted and beloved by his family, students, neighbors and colleagues.
