Sadly, on August 12, 2019, the sun set for Gwendolyn Carol Grey (nee Stewart). She was just 68.
Born in Cleveland, Ohio to Lucilelle Annie Stewart, she would also live in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and ultimately Odenton, Maryland for the passed 4 years.
Gwen is retired from Aetna Health where she was a representative for many years. An engaged citizen, she was a volunteer for the Red Cross as well as the Laurel Pregnancy Center where she was engaged as a volunteer counselor. Additionally, her public service extended to being a Therapeutic Foster Parent working with children for the Kennedy-Krieger Institute.
Gwen loved to sing, dance and travel, however her highest calling was membership at her church and serving Jesus Christ.
She is survived by Richard L. Gray, as she liked to say, "her friend first and then her husband." Gwen leaves her dear daughters Shanea, Jessica and Aleah as well as a loving son Richard. Her siblings, Cheryl Thomas, Valerie Manlove and Donny, Theodore "Teddy" and John Thomas, John, who she raised, morn the loss. Gwendolyns' legacy will continue in her cherished grandchildren Isyss and Ayanna. She will be missed by her neice Shaneka. Gwen joins her grandmother Daisy and son Lorne as well as her late brother Author Thomas in passing.
