DREW- Wayne Homer Green, age 82, of Drew, MS, passed away on Wednesday, February 05, 2020, at the North Sunflower Hospital in Ruleville. He was born on January 22, 1938, to Homer Clarence and Rosie (Mayo) Green in Louise, MS. He entered the United States Army in 1955. After returning from the Army he worked at a service station and briefly with Ford Motor Company before going to work with the Life of Virginia for over 15 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents Homer and Rosie Green, brothers James Williams Green, sisters, Ida Mae Burchfield, Jeanette Gully, and Cary Joyce Malone.

Visitation will be held Sunday, February 9, 2020, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Cleveland Funeral Home in Cleveland, MS. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will follow at 2:00 PM in the Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be at the Shaw Cemetery. Reverend Robert Haney will officiate the services.

He is survived by two daughters, Kelly Green Butler of Greensboro, NC. and Holly Green of Spencer, NY. Brother, Edwin Lee Green, two sisters, Geneva Yates, and Mary Lois Hope. Grandchildren, Preston Butler, Pierce Butler and Patrick Butler of Greensboro, NC, granddaughter Madeline Tarantelli of Ithaca, NY and a great-grandchild Sicily Green of Ithaca, NY
He also leaves a host of nieces and nephews to cherish his memory.

Pallbearers will be Preston Butler, Pierce Butler, Patrick Butler, Wade Glass, Thomas Glass, and John Carver. Honorary pallbearers are Justin Dillon, Chris Sellars, Anthony Glass, and Paul Jones
