Russell died in Skaggs Community Health Center from a sudden illness while vacationing in Branson, MO. born in Freeport, the son of Ross and Mable Winters. Married Lois Brandt on Nov. 19, 1950, in Monroe, WI. Veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving as a staff sergeant during the Korean War. Employed as a technician for 13 years at Sundstrand Corp., and was plant engineer for seven years at Barber-Colman Co. He and his son, Russell Jr., co-founded Rusco Manufacturing Inc. in 1979. He enjoyed traveling and most recently spent five weeks touring Canada and Alaska.
Survivors include wife, Lois; daughters, Pat (Robert) Kerr, Kathy Loukota and Joanne (Dave) Swynar Jr; sons, Russell (Carol Jr and Michael (Kim) Winters; 11 grandchildren. Predeceased by parents; sister, Margaret Heft; and son-in-law, John Loukota.
