Susan A. Saunders age 73 passed away February 06, 2020 at her home in Oak Ridge.

She was born November 13, 1946 in Tallasse, Alabama to James T. Nail and Irene Brewer Nail.

A member of The First United Methodist Church in Oak Ridge where she served as head of ushers at the 8:45 service for more than 20 years. She was employed with O.R.N.L. as an administrative assistant from January 1990 until December 2012.

Susan was a very avid fan of Oak Ridge Football as well as golf,but most of all being a "Nana" to her 2 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; James and Irene Nail, nephew; Mark Anthony Dahmus.

Susan is survived by her husband; Coach Barry Saunders, daughter; Alicia E. Byrne and husband John, grandchildren; Connell Byrne and Elizabeth Byrne, sisters; Marie Dahmus and Linda Butler and their families and her 12 precious cats.

Graveside services will be 2:00 pm Friday February 14, 2020 at Anderson Memorial Gardens in Clinton with Rev. Jenny Caughman officiating.

Expressions of love may be made in lieu of flowers to American Cancer Society 871 Weisgarber Rd. Knoxville, TN 37909
