Erica Renee Cox passed away Thursday, January 30th in her home in Sheridan, OR.

She is survived by her husband Mathew Cox and her two children, Christina Edgmon and Austin Cox, brothers Ricky and Todd Sauve.

Erica was born in Spokane and grew up in Alaska, then married and moved to Oregon. She was born to Brinda and Rick Sauve and grew to love Brinda’s husband Eric Schmidt as a father.

Erica adored her husband, children, family and friends that were also family to her, her community and the Green Bay Packers! Erica worked at First Federal Savings & Loan for nearly 19 years where most of our community grew to love her and adore her. Before that, the children of our community, now adults, knew her as Teacher Erica from her time at ABC Daycare. She loved fishing, camping, sitting at the river in hot weather, dolphins, the beach and just “chilling” with her friends and family. We could all agree that she was the best wife, mom and friend to all.

Erica was the selfless, kind, caring, loyal, hard working, generous and loving to anyone she ever met. And that smile…she brightened any room and will be forever remembered. And that heart…it was huge and will make a big impact on the world and those who loved her!

Erica and her amazing spirit and her take charge personality will forever be missed, but please, cherish those memories of her!
