Kenneth Wayne Bennett passed away on February 3, 2020.

Kenneth was born on August 19, 1952, to Ethia Mae Haydel Bennett in Houston. He was a true one-of-a-kind character who brought humor and happiness into the lives of everyone who met him. Always the life of the party, the writer of legendary family vacation songs, master storyteller of the famous Granny Stories, and nose honking extraordinaire.

Becoming an uncle at 2 years of age gave him lots of practice and time to perfect being the perfect uncle to us all.

Kenneth was a member of Braeswood Assembly of God Church while he lived in Houston and a member of Salt Lake Christian Center while he lived in Utah. During his time as a member of these churches he helped the youth drama departments and with his flare for the dramatic he performed, directed and wrote many musical and theater productions.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his wife Lee Lieberman-Bennett, parents Dencil and Ethia Bennett, beloved sister Shirley Elkins and her husband Lee Roy Elkins.

Here to lovingly remember and celebrate his life are nephews Gary Elkins & Michael D Elkins along with their wives (and honorary nieces) Julie and Debbie Elkins. Also survived by Great Nieces & Great Nephews, Crystal Elkins Boyd and husband Jody Boyd, Great Nephew Jeremy "JR" Elkins and wife Courtney Elkins, Elizabeth Elkins, and Rachael Elkins Fredrich and husband Brian Fredrich.

We will be celebrating his life on Tuesday 2/11 at 3 pm with a graveside service at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery (13102 North Freeway, Houston, TX) followed by a memorial gathering in the funeral home on the grounds.
