Pamela Jo "Penny" Alexander, 72, of Coleman, died Saturday Nov. 3, 2018 at Woodland Hospice House in Mount Pleasant, with her family by her side. She was born May 14, 1946 in Union Township, Isabella County, the daughter of the late Harry and Hilda (Knapp) Alexander.
Penny was first employed at Pendell Printing in Midland. Her time was spent raising her children with much family time at the cottage on Higgins Lake, where they made many fond memories. In midlife, she was a well-known interior decorator.
Survivors include her children, Theresa and Thomas Murray of Beaverton, Jessica and James Rizor of Saline, and Brett Evans of Midland; grandchildren, Mandi and Doug Smith, Michael, Michelle, and Matthew Murray; great-grandchildren, Kaiden and Jackson Smith. Penny was preceded in death by her brother, Alec Alexander.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 8, 2018 at the O'Laughlin Funeral Home, Inc. with Rev. Earl Marsh officiating. Burial will take place in the Warren Township Cemetery, Coleman. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. and on Thursday starting at 10 a.m. until the time of services. In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to make a charitable contribution of your choice in her memory.
