February 2020 - Passage. Larry Ray Lowe, 74, passed away on February 6, 2020. Larry was born January 11, 1945 in Ashville, NC the son of the late Charles Eldridge Lowe and Bertie Haney Lowe Barbee.
He retired from the Standard Examiner Newspaper, where he worked in the Circulation Department.
Larry is survived by his partner, Cathryn Hardin and her children and grandchildren, who he loved as his own, daughter Tinia (Justin) Johannes, son Troy Dursch, grandchildren Felicia (Antonio) and Sabrina and 3 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a brother C.R. Lowe and his wife Martha and his sister Carole L. Stroud and husband Rick, also numerous cousins. Preceded in death by his sister Barbara J. Setzer.
Larry was loved and will be very missed.
Per Larry’s wishes he will be cremated. Arrangements entrusted to Myers Ogden Mortuary
