Laura Ann Wise, 51, of Pensacola went to be with the Lord on February 4, 2020. She was born in Holden Logan, West Virginia on April 12, 1968 to William Blair and Marlene Barrows. Laura loved traveling around the world, loved life and lived it to the fullest. She spent two years in the US Army, being stationed at Fort Riley in Kansas. From there, she spent 15 years as a dispatcher and civil processor for the Escambia County Sherriff’s Office. Laura was a breast cancer survivor and actively participated in the breast cancer awareness walks. She was also a member of Graceway Baptist Church.
Laura was preceded in death by her brother William “Billy” Blair Jr.
She is survived by her husband- Philip D. Wise; sons- James Rudolph Wright Jr. and Christopher Wayne Ballard; mother- Marlene Houston; dad- Fred N. Houston; brother- David A. Houston; and nephew Garret Blair, all who will miss her dearly.
The services to honor Laura’s life will be on Monday, February 10, 2020 at Trahan Family Funeral Home, with the visitation beginning at 11:30 AM, and the service to immediately follow at 12:30 PM. There will be a procession leaving the funeral home at 1:30 PM going to Barrancas National Cemetery, where Laura will be laid to rest at 2:00 PM.
