Funeral services for Mrs. Alice Peach Rives, 56, who died Friday at her home, 5011 Dakota Avenue, will be held at the residence at 9 a.m. Sunday morning with Elders J. E. Acuff and Price Billingsley officiating. The body will be conveyed to Petersburg, Tennessee for burial in Old Orchard Cemetery.
Mrs. Rives, who was born in Nashville, died following an extended illness. She moved to Petersburg when a young woman but returned to Nashville 12 years ago, shortly after the death of her husband, Thomas J. Rives.
Survivors are daughters, Mrs. H. A. Holland and Miss Dolly Rives, both of Nashville, and Mrs. R. C. Masengale, of Oklahoma; sister, Mrs. Sudie Cooper.
Pallbearers will be Jonas Gray, R. C. Marshall, Ross Marshall, Albie Wakefield, J. B. Massey, and Charley King.

"Social Happenings At Petersburg" column: The remains of Mrs. Alice Peach Rives, aged 86 years, who died Friday morning at her home in Nashville, were brought here Saturday for interment in Old Orchard Cemetery. Mrs. Rives formerly lived near Delina and has a host of relatives and friends in this county who deplore her passing.
