Verna was blessed with the love of two good men. Predeceased by her husbands Oscar J. Schmidt (2002) and Thomas Randall (1980). Loving mother of Sheila Henry of London, Jack and his wife Marg of Elmwood, Jim of Waterloo and Larry of Kitchener. Verna will be remembered by her daughter-in-law Celia Randall of Bayfield and her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Eileen Kalan, sister-in-law Phyllis Hawkin and brother Eldon Hartung and his wife Marg. Predeceased by her parents William and Ann Hartung, brothers Elmer, Roy, Clint and sisters Marj Bagu and Doreen Haines, her daughter Marilyn Dick-Little and her husband Ike, infant daughter Jane and son Thomas Randall, grandchildren Daniel Randall and Arielle Randall.
Verna retired from Lazy-Boy as a sewer and tour guide. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, St. Agatha.
Verna's family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday from 7-9 PM and from 2-4 and 7-9 PM Friday and 10-10:10:45 M Saturday at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener. Funeral Service at 11 AM on Saturday, May 20, 2006, in the chapel of the funeral home. Rev. Donald Stewart officiating.
Interment Memory Gardens Cemetery followed by a reception at the funeral home.
As expressions of sympathy donations to the Grand River Regional Cancer Centre and the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated by the family.
