Frank L. Cooper, 49, of Rocky Hill, N.J. died suddenly on May 15, 1988. At his death he was a Vice President and Senior Economist with Merrill Lynch in New York City. He is survived by his widow Janet M. Cooper, and his brothers, Professor Edward H. Cooper, of Ann Arbor, MI, and William L. Cooper, of Bloomfield Village, MI. He was educated at the University of Michigan and the University of Wisconsin where he received a PhD in economics in 1977. His career as an economic forecaster has included stints with the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, the Bank of Canada, Informetrica of Ottawa, Ontario , Data Resources, Inc., Strategic information and Wharton Econometrics. A gathering of friends, family and colleagues is planned in Princeton. The family requests memorial contributions to the University of Wisconsin Foundation in lieu of flowers.
