Sandra Mae Aycox Leach, 68, of Conyers, passed away Monday, February 3, 2020 at Emory Midtown Hospital. Preceded in death by her parents, Willie A. and Mary Driver Aycox, Sr., she is survived by her son, James “Jay” Leach; brothers and sister-in-law, Willie Aycox, Jr, Joe and Peggy Aycox; sister and brother-in-law, Joanne and Garrett McLaughlin; nieces Mary McLaughlin, Wendy Newkirk (Rex); nephew, Lee Aycox (Alica); along with many extended loving family members.
Sandra was a loving mother, aunt, and sister. She had a heart for everyone she knew and was an avid GA Bulldog fan. Her hobbies included working on puzzles, cooking and trying out new recipes. She enjoyed singing in church with her family, traveling to the mountains, and working in the concession stand at the ballfield. Sandra worked at the AJC for 26 years. She had an unconditional love for her family and would do anything for them. Her loss will be deeply felt by all those who knew and loved her.
Funeral Services for Sandra will be held Saturday, February 8, 2020 at 11 am in the Chapel of Wheeler Funeral and Cremation Services with Pastor Kenny Stokes officiating. Interment to follow at Eastview Cemetery in Conyers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday, February 7, 2020 from 6pm – 8pm.
