Plain Dealing, LA – Randall Thomas Edwards, 62, of Plain Dealing, LA passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2020 surrounded by his loving family. His presence will truly be missed by his family, co-workers and countless friends.

Services for Randy will be held at 1 pm Saturday, February 8, 2020 at Rose-Neath’s Bossier Chapel located at 2201 Airline Drive, Bossier City, LA. Officiating will be Chaplain Jay Valentine of the Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Department. Interment will follow at Welcome Cemetery near Taylor, AR. The family will receive friends at the Rose-Neath Bossier Chapel on Friday, February 7, 2020 from 5 pm until 8 pm.

Randy was born on Monday, March 4, 1957 in Oskaloosa, IA to the proud parents of George Finner and Beverly Thomas Edwards.

Randy proudly served as Director of IT for the Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Department where he cherished his many co-workers. Randy also loved spending time with his grandchildren, riding his Harley, fishing and smoking a good cigar. He was an avid classic car enthusiast and achieved his dream of restoring his 68′ Dodge Charger which he showed in many car shows. Randy truly loved putting all of his love and hard work into this classic car and won many awards for his tireless efforts.

Randy was preceded in death by his father, George Finner Edwards. Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Beverly Thomas Edwards of Plain Dealing, LA; his son and daughter-in-law, Adam Tyler and Jennifer Edwards of Benton, LA; beloved sister, Lisa Edwards of Bossier City, LA; his two brothers and sisters-in-law, Bruce and Susan Edwards of Plain Dealing, LA, Craig and Christy Edwards of Bossier City, LA; three precious grandchildren, Carmen, Tyler and Marissa; his nephew Cole and nieces, Brittney, Hannah, Kailyn, Georgeia and Faith and a host of many friends.

Serving as pallbearers for Randy will be Chad Gauthier, Julian Whittington, Duane Huddleston, David Miller, Cliff Williamson, Justin Poole, Al Langley and Keith Plunkett. Honorary pallbearers will be the women and men of the Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Department.
