Brenda Souders, 71, of Excelsior Springs, Missouri, passed away February 2, 2020 at North Kansas City Hospital.

Ms. Souders was born September 12, 1948 in Kansas City, Kansas. She graduated from Excelsior Springs High School in 1966. Many in town knew her from the various places she worked, she was a friendly face at the convenience store, the bank or the grocery store.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Lois Shasteen, and brothers, Dewey, Neal and Mark Shasteen.

Survivors include Richard Cutshall and her two daughters, Michelle Souders Copeland and Kathy Souders Emery, and their husbands, Eric Copeland and Steven Emery; five grandchildren, Ethan Souders, Madison Taylor, Jestin Taylor, Eric M. Copeland II, and Caleb Copeland; and one great granddaughter, Vernabelle Souders.

Memorial services will be held at 9:00 a.m., Saturday, February 15, 2020 at Flack Memorial Church, Excelsior Springs, Missouri.
